DISCOVER THE HIDDEN TREASURES OF TRENTON

Pirate Fiesta builds community by bringing people together with 'creative place making'.  Artisans, students, retirees, and business owners all benefit by knowing each other a little better.

On Friday September 19th (Friday September 19th, 2014 has been decided by some authority, I’m not sure which, to be international talk like a pirate day), Pirate Fiesta will bring the members of the NEW JERSEY community of TRENTON a little closer together.

The Mission of the Pirate Fiesta creates a wonderful world by sharing through cooperation, not incorporation.

Our Goal for Sept 19th - Get people to experience businesses and neighborhoods of Trenton where they might not usually go and to connect them with one another.

Our Objective for Sept 19th - On the day of the event a local business/landmark can get involved by doing the following:
Dressing and/or talking like pirates
Flying the Pirate Fiesta Flag or sticker
Engaging with scavenger hunt contestants, and providing them with the clue(s).
Optional - having a volunteer represent your business at the after-party/event to play with participants.

We will have a system for counting how many people stop at each location.  A minimal participation fee will be charged when appropriate.  Depending upon the amount of participants, we will have a number of different hunts going at the same time.  Don't worry, we won't overwhelm you.  We'll figure out together home many people you would like to see and plan accordingly.

Will we save the world on Sept 19th?  I think not.  Can we make a bit of a difference in consciousness for those that want it?  I think we can.
For a recent Pirate Fiesta, we asked that all of our pirates take our oath before they began the hunt.  Our goal with this was to raise the consciousness of all people, especially the younger generations, of the importance of water.  It was for New York City's 'City of Water Day'.  We had a booth across from Marvel Comics at the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance on Governors Island.  We held our Hook-N-Treasure event, sailed the ship, and did a simple scavenger hunt that had almost 200 people participating.

Here is our Oath for that day.
Trenton's Pirate Fiesta on September 19th will include the additional challenges listed here.
