Life of An Artist
I acknowledge that as a human being I have been gifted the ability to manipulate much of my natural environment, and that by using this gift I am also altering the environments of many other living creatures, and the natural laws that apply to them. Since I have the ability to live outside these laws, I admit to being a born outlaw of nature, a pirate.
As an artist and member of the Pirate Fiesta I
promise that the treasure I seek foremost will be the treasure of knowing my
own heart, and the hearts of those with whom I share the gift of life. Through my clarity and definiteness of purpose, I promise to make art that sheds light into the recesses of our collective consciousness, lighting the way for those that seek enlightenment, and exposing those that claim they do right, when in effect, they do wrong.
In thanks for the gift of life and
consciousness, I hereby pledge to honor my life as a human being and natural born pirate.
Consciousness of Water
Over millions of years, millions of
ecosystems upon the earth have formed that have their own natural rules. I acknowledge that as a human being I have
been gifted the ability to manipulate much of my natural environment, and that
by using this gift I am also altering the environments of many other living
creatures, and the natural laws that apply to them. Since I have the ability to live outside
these laws, I admit to being a born outlaw of nature, a pirate.
As a pirate, even though I use more than
my fair share of the earth’s resources, I still breathe the same air and drink
the same water as every other living creature on earth. I therefore admit that I cannot live life without
sharing and cooperating with other living beings.
As a member of the Pirate Fiesta I
promise that the treasure I seek foremost will be the treasure of knowing my
own heart, and the hearts of those with whom I share the gift of life. I promise to use my actions and words to make
better lives for others and myself.
Through my clarity and definiteness of purpose, I will see through the
lies of those that claim they do right, when in effect, they do wrong.

love and honor my life as a human being and natural born pirate.
